MOTS-c price: $199 a month, or $158/mo on 6 months
The short answer

MyFit-Rx's month-to-month price ($199.99 per month) is about the same as ours. On longer plans, MOTS-C.com publishes $230 per month, or $182/mo on a 12-month plan and Zepym $299 per month, or $209/mo on 6 months; our 6-month plan, $158/mo, is below every multi-month price in this table. MOTS-c and Epitalon: both covered by the HHS policy
Why does research MOTS-c look cheaper?
- It is sold for research, not for you. The label says not for human use, so there is no prescriber and no pharmacy behind it.
- You finish the job. Water, syringes, mixing and the units math are on you, and none of that is in the vial price.
- The HHS policy does not reach it. The October 28, 2026 policy covers MOTS-c acetate by injection compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy for a patient with a prescription, from a tested raw ingredient made by an FDA-registered facility. A research vial meets none of those conditions. Is MOTS-c legal?
- Prescribed MOTS-c is single-ingredient. The policy covers one active ingredient per product, and the only device it allows is a 510(k)-cleared syringe.
What regulators say about peptides like MOTS-c sold "for research use only"
These are their words, not ours. Each quote links to the official source.
“Injectable drug products can pose risks of serious harm to users. Injectable products are delivered directly into the body, sometimes directly into the bloodstream, and therefore, bypass some of the body's key defenses against toxins and microorganisms.”
“Despite statements on your product labeling marketing your products for "Research Use Only," … your products are intended to be drugs for human use.”
“[They can] contain contaminants, such as solvents, heavy metals, particles (fibers, glass, plastic), or microbials (bacteria, fungi, endotoxins).”
“This type of labelling does not make these products legal or exempt from regulatory requirements.”
HHS gave the same reason for its October 28, 2026 peptide policy: to pull patients away from research-use-only peptides supplied by foreign manufacturers. Read our HHS policy explainer.

FAQ
How much does MOTS-c cost per month?
$199 month to month at Peptides.build, $166/mo on 3 months or $158/mo on 6 months, with the provider review, pharmacy compounding, mixing and shipping included.
How much is a MOTS-c prescription?
There is no separate prescription fee here: the provider review is inside the plan price. Elsewhere, Pepti publishes $259 per month all-in and Rx Peps Direct charges $80 vial + $39 review + $15 shipping, per order, checked October 30, 2026.
Is Peptides.build the cheapest place for prescribed MOTS-c?
Not on every plan. Month to month, Rx Peps Direct is lower per vial ($80 vial + $39 review + $15 shipping, per order) and MyFit-Rx is about the same ($199.99 per month). Pepti ($259 per month) and Amble are higher. On 6 months, our $158/mo is below every multi-month price we found published by the sellers listed on this page (checked October 30, 2026).
Why is a research MOTS-c vial cheaper?
A research vial (American Peptides lists $100 per vial for a 10 mg powder vial) is sold "not for human use": no prescription, no pharmacy, no label with your concentration, and you buy the water and syringes and mix it yourself. The prescribed price includes all of that.
Can I get a 40 mg MOTS-c vial?
Vial strength is not something you pick here. Your provider decides whether MOTS-c is appropriate and writes the prescription, and the pharmacy fills exactly that. The 40 mg vials in search results are research-use-only powder.
Does MOTS-c actually work?
MOTS-c has been studied in preclinical and early research on mitochondrial and metabolic signaling. It is not FDA-approved for any use, and no result is promised. A licensed provider decides if it is appropriate for you.
Can I pay for MOTS-c with Klarna, Afterpay or Affirm?
Yes, all three are offered at checkout, so a 3- or 6-month plan can be split into smaller payments.
Is there a membership fee or does insurance pay?
There is no membership or consult fee; the plan price is the whole price. Compounded peptides are generally paid out of pocket, so ask your plan about your own coverage.
Tired of reconstituting?
A licensed US provider reviews a short online intake. If MOTS-c is appropriate, a licensed US 503A pharmacy compounds it as a single-ingredient product and ships it cold-chain, already reconstituted and labeled. Epitalon, the other longevity peptide covered by the HHS policy, is $158/mo on 6 months.
