## Quick answer: how do you calculate Epitalon units?

To calculate Epitalon units, divide the milligrams in the vial by the millilitres of liquid to get the concentration, divide your prescribed dose in milligrams by that concentration to get the volume, then multiply the volume in mL by 100 for units on a U-100 syringe. Epitalon doses are written in milligrams and vials run from 10 to 100 mg. Example: a 50 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water is 25 mg/mL, so if your prescription says 4 mg, you draw 0.16 mL, which is 16 units.

## Epitalon dosing chart in units

Units to draw on a U-100 syringe for common Epitalon vial sizes and water volumes. Find your vial on the left and read across to the dose on your prescription. This is a conversion table, not a dosing recommendation; a dash means the dose is larger than the vial.

## Pre-mixed Epitalon: reading the pharmacy label

Epitalon calculators online assume a freeze-dried vial, usually 10 mg or 50 mg, and they disagree on the water: 2 mL is the common figure, but some use 5 mL for a 50 mg vial. A compounding pharmacy prescription usually arrives as a liquid with the concentration printed on the label in mg/mL, which settles the question.

Divide your prescribed dose in mg by the label concentration to get mL, then multiply by 100 for units: 4 mg from a 10 mg/mL vial is 0.4 mL, or 40 units. Switch the calculator above to Pre-mixed vial and type the label strength.

Epitalon is typically prescribed in short cycles, so the beyond-use date on the label matters more than usual. Count the doses the vial holds at your prescribed amount (the calculator shows this) and compare it with the cycle length your provider set; a vial that would outlast its beyond-use date should be discussed with the pharmacy before the cycle starts.

Worked example (pre-mixed vial)

```
label: 10 mg/mL   prescription: 4000 mcg (4 mg)
4 mg ÷ 10 mg/mL = 0.4 mL
0.4 mL × 100 = 40 units
```

## How much BAC water for 10 mg or 50 mg of Epitalon

Use the volume your pharmacy or prescriber specifies. The water changes only the concentration, never the amount of Epitalon in the vial: more water means more units for the same dose.

10 mg vial
| Water | mg/mL | mcg per unit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 mL | 10 | 100 |
| 2 mL | 5 | 50 |
| 3 mL | 3.33 | 33.3 |

50 mg vial
| Water | mg/mL | mcg per unit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 mL | 50 | 500 |
| 2 mL | 25 | 250 |
| 3 mL | 16.67 | 167 |
| 5 mL | 10 | 100 |
| 10 mL | 5 | 50 |

Reading the syringe

## When Epitalon units do not fit the syringe

Epitalon spans both syringe problems. A 100 mg vial mixed with 2 mL is 50 mg/mL, so 4 mg is only 8 units and a 1 mg dose is 2 units, at the edge of what a syringe can measure. A 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL is 5 mg/mL, so a 10 mg dose is 200 units, which no insulin syringe holds. The calculator flags both.

Match the syringe to the draw: a 0.3 mL syringe (marked every unit) for draws under 30 units, a 1 mL syringe for draws up to 100 units. If the result is under 2 units or over 100, ask your pharmacist or prescriber whether a different concentration fits your dose; do not change the amount of water or split a dose on your own.

Common questions

## Epitalon calculator FAQ

### How many units of Epitalon do I draw?

Units = dose (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL) × 100. For a 50 mg vial mixed with 2 mL (25 mg/mL), a prescription of 4 mg is 0.16 mL, or 16 units on a U-100 syringe. The dose itself comes from your prescription.

### Is Epitalon the same as Epithalon or Epithalone?

Yes. Epitalon, Epithalon and Epithalone are spellings of the same four-amino-acid peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly). The math is identical whichever name is on the vial; just confirm the mg on the label matches what your prescription assumes.

### How much bacteriostatic water do I add to 10 mg of Epitalon?

Use the volume your pharmacy or prescriber specifies. The water does not change the amount of Epitalon, only the concentration: 1 mL makes 10 mg/mL (100 mcg per unit), 2 mL makes 5 mg/mL (50 mcg per unit) and 3 mL makes about 3.33 mg/mL. Peptides.build prescriptions arrive pre-mixed, so patients never add water.

### How much bacteriostatic water do I add to 50 mg of Epitalon?

Follow the pharmacy's instructions. With 50 mg: 1 mL makes 50 mg/mL (500 mcg per unit), 2 mL makes 25 mg/mL (250 mcg per unit), 5 mL makes 10 mg/mL (100 mcg per unit) and 10 mL makes 5 mg/mL. Check that the vial can physically hold the volume before planning on 10 mL.

### My Epitalon vial came pre-mixed. How do I convert my dose to units?

Read the concentration on the pharmacy label, for example 10 mg/mL. Divide your prescribed dose in mg by it to get mL, then multiply by 100: 4 mg ÷ 10 mg/mL = 0.4 mL = 40 units. Choose Pre-mixed vial in the calculator to do this automatically.

### How many doses are in a 50 mg vial of Epitalon?

Divide the vial by the dose: at 4 mg per dose a 50 mg vial holds 12 full doses with 2 mg left over; at 5 mg it holds 10. The calculator shows doses per vial for whatever figures you enter, and the count only applies until the beyond-use date on the label.

### How should Epitalon be stored once mixed?

Follow the storage line on the pharmacy label. Reconstituted peptides are typically kept refrigerated, not frozen, and used before the beyond-use date. Do not use a vial that looks cloudy or has particles; contact the pharmacy.

### Is Epitalon FDA-approved?

No. Epitalon is not FDA-approved for any use, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved. When it is prescribed, a licensed provider decides whether it is appropriate for the individual patient.

### Is Epitalon allowed in competitive sport?

Epitalon is not named on the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List, but the list's S0 category covers any pharmacological substance with no current approval for human therapeutic use, which can apply to non-approved peptides. Drug-tested athletes should check with their governing body before using it.

### Does this calculator tell me how much Epitalon to take?

No. It performs arithmetic only and does not recommend a dose, cycle length or schedule. The dose, timing and vial strength come from your prescription and pharmacy label.
