# Peptides for joints and tendons: BPC-157 and Wolverine, prescribed online

Updated October 30, 2026 · Research summarized, no efficacy claims

## The short answer

The peptides most discussed for joints and tendons are BPC-157 and TB-500, often paired as the Wolverine Stack. Both have been studied in preclinical research, mostly in animals, for tendon, ligament and soft-tissue repair pathways; neither is proven to treat joint pain or a tendon injury in people. At Peptides.build a licensed US provider can prescribe single-ingredient BPC-157 ($163 month to month) or the Wolverine blend ($225 month to month), compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy and shipped pre-mixed.

The research

## What have BPC-157 and TB-500 been studied for?

**BPC-157** is a 15-amino-acid peptide first linked to a protective protein in gastric juice. It has been studied in preclinical research for tendon, ligament, muscle and bone-healing models, and for blood-vessel signaling around injured tissue. Most of that work is in rats, and reviews of it are listed in the sources.

**TB-500** is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a protein involved in cell movement. It has been studied in preclinical research for cell migration and soft-tissue repair. TB-500 alone is not offered here; at Peptides.build it is part of the Wolverine Stack.

What none of this shows: that either peptide, or the two together, relieves joint pain or repairs a tendon in people. Nobody has run a trial of the pair. Read the full comparison in [Wolverine Stack vs BPC-157](https://peptides.build/compare/wolverine-stack-vs-bpc-157/).

Legal status

## BPC-157 is inside the HHS policy; Wolverine is not

- **BPC-157 alone**: single-ingredient BPC-157 acetate is one of the six peptides HHS now lets licensed 503A pharmacies compound against a prescription. [Is BPC-157 legal?](https://peptides.build/legal/bpc-157/)
- **Wolverine**: a two-compound blend, so it is outside the policy, which covers single-ingredient products. Still prescribed by a licensed provider after an intake. [Are peptide stacks legal?](https://peptides.build/legal/peptide-stacks/)
- **Either way**: compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

How it works

## How do you get BPC-157 or Wolverine prescribed?

1. **Five-minute intake**: your history, current medications and goals.
2. **Provider review**: a licensed US provider decides whether either protocol is appropriate.
3. **Pharmacy**: a licensed US 503A pharmacy compounds it and ships it already reconstituted and labeled.
4. **Delivered cold**: 2 to 3 business days in transit, adult signature. No membership fee. Every price: [BPC-157](https://peptides.build/pricing/bpc-157/) · [Wolverine](https://peptides.build/pricing/wolverine-stack/).

Common questions

## FAQ

### What are the best peptides for joints and tendons?

BPC-157 and TB-500 are the two most discussed, and they are often combined as the Wolverine Stack. Both have preclinical research on tendon and soft-tissue repair pathways. None is proven to treat joint pain or a tendon injury in people, and a provider decides what is appropriate.

### Do peptides help with joint pain?

That has not been shown in controlled human trials. The research behind BPC-157 and TB-500 is mostly in animals and cells. A joint problem that hurts needs a diagnosis from your own doctor; a peptide is not a substitute for that care.

### Where can I get the Wolverine Stack peptide?

With a prescription, from a telehealth provider whose licensed pharmacy compounds it. At Peptides.build it is $225 month to month or $183/mo on 6 months, shipped already mixed. Wolverine sold online "for research use only" is labeled not for human use.

### Is the Wolverine Stack legal?

BPC-157 and TB-500 are each covered by the HHS policy of October 28, 2026 on their own, but the policy covers one active ingredient per product, so the Wolverine blend is outside it. It is still prescribed by a licensed provider after an intake. Single-ingredient BPC-157 is inside the policy.

### Are there any clinical trials with BPC-157?

Only small, early ones. Most published BPC-157 research is preclinical, mainly rat studies of tendon, ligament, muscle and gut repair, reviewed in the sources below.

### BPC-157 alone or Wolverine: which is better for tendons?

Nobody has tested the pair against BPC-157 alone, so there is no evidence either way. BPC-157 alone is inside the HHS policy and costs less month to month; Wolverine is a blend outside it. A provider can explain the trade-off for you.

### What are the side effects of peptide injections?

Reported effects include injection-site redness, itching or swelling, and occasionally nausea or lightheadedness. Long-term safety in people is not established. Both BPC-157 and TB-500 are prohibited in drug-tested sport.

### Can I legally buy peptides for joints?

With a prescription from a licensed provider, filled by a licensed 503A pharmacy. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved. Vials sold online as research use only are labeled not for human use.

Prescribed, not mixed at home

## Tired of reconstituting?

A licensed US provider reviews a short online intake. If a prescription is appropriate, a licensed US 503A pharmacy fills it and ships it cold-chain, already reconstituted and labeled with the concentration.
