Updated October 29, 2026 · Prices generated from the live catalog · USD

## The short answer

Complete a short online intake, a licensed US provider reviews it, and if a prescription is appropriate a licensed 503A pharmacy compounds it and ships it to you cold-chain, already reconstituted. At Peptides.build the intake takes about five minutes, there is no membership fee, and protocols start from $68/mo on the longest plan. BPC-157 is $163 month to month. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

The process

## What are the four steps?

1. **Online intake, about five minutes.** Choose a protocol and answer questions about your health history, current medications and goals.
2. **Provider review.** A licensed US provider reviews your answers and decides whether the protocol is appropriate for you. If it is, they write a patient-specific prescription and set any dose. If it is not, no prescription is written. Physician oversight is by Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC.
3. **503A compounding.** A licensed US 503A pharmacy compounds the prescription for you alone. Our pharmacy network: VialsRx, Southend Pharmacy, Boudreaux's Pharmacy, Mycelium Pharmacy, Greenwich Pharmacy, Strive Pharmacy and Hallandale Pharmacy.
4. **Cold-chain delivery, pre-mixed.** The pharmacy ships it cold-chain to all 50 states, 2 to 3 business days in transit, with an adult signature. It arrives already reconstituted and labeled with the concentration: no powder, no BAC water, no mixing.

Legal status

## Which peptides can a provider legally prescribe?

Since October 28, 2026, HHS says it will not take enforcement action against licensed 503A pharmacies and physicians that compound six peptides for a patient with a prescription, if ten conditions are met: BPC-157, TB-500, MOTS-c and Epitalon as acetate by injection, Semax free base intranasal only, and KPV acetate oral and topical only. It is not FDA approval.

Blends such as the Wolverine, KLOW and CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin stacks are outside that policy, which covers one active ingredient only. They are still prescribed when a licensed provider decides they are appropriate after an intake. The status of every protocol is on the [legal status page](https://peptides.build/legal/peptides/), and the full policy is in our [HHS peptide policy explainer](https://peptides.build/news/hhs-peptide-policy/).

Before you start

## What should I have ready for the intake?

- Your health history and any conditions you are treated for
- A list of current medications and supplements
- Your goals, in your own words
- A US shipping address where an adult can sign for a cold package

Be complete and honest: the provider uses your answers to decide whether a protocol is appropriate. Peptides sold online as “research use only” skip this step entirely, which is exactly why they come with no prescription, no licensed pharmacy and no adverse-event reporting.

Common questions

## FAQ

### Do I need a prescription to take peptides?

For compounded peptides from a licensed pharmacy, yes. The HHS policy of October 28, 2026 requires a patient-specific prescription from a licensed clinician. Peptides sold as "research use only" are labeled not for human use.

### Can my own doctor prescribe peptides?

A licensed clinician can prescribe a compounded peptide when they decide it is appropriate, and a state-licensed 503A pharmacy fills it. Whether your own doctor will is their decision. A telehealth provider is another route.

### How long does it take to get peptides prescribed online?

At Peptides.build the intake takes about five minutes. After a licensed provider approves a prescription and the pharmacy compounds it, shipping is 2 to 3 business days in transit.

### Which peptides can be prescribed?

Any compounded protocol a licensed provider decides is appropriate. Six peptides are covered by the HHS enforcement-discretion policy in set forms: BPC-157, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon, Semax and KPV. Blends are outside the policy but can still be prescribed.

### Are compounded peptides FDA-approved?

No. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the HHS policy says it does not establish safety or effectiveness.

### Is there a membership or consultation fee?

No. The protocol price covers the provider review, compounding and cold-chain shipping. There is no membership on top.

### Do you ship to every state?

Cold-chain shipping reaches all 50 states with an adult signature. State pharmacy and medical boards can still set their own rules on compounded peptides.

### Is online peptide therapy covered by insurance?

Compounded peptides are generally paid out of pocket. Ask your plan about your own coverage before you start.
